An Inquiry Committee has been constituted to investigate impeachment allegations made against Kayah State government Chief Minister L Phaung Sho.

One fourth of the total legislators in Kayah State Legislative Assembly signed the impeachment request. In their impeachment claim, the legislators allege the CM misused funds from leasing state owned heavy machineries and equipment and illegally seized public land designated for holding Kayah State Day.
