The Kyaiklat People's Defense Force (PDF) and the Kyaiklat Ayeyarbayda Army bombed a police station of the military junta in Hta Yaw Ywa Thit Village, Kyaiklat Township Ayeyarwady Region on the night of 19 March, according to a Kyaiklat PDF fighter.

He said that local resistance forces attacked a police station with a bomb because police in Kyaiklat Township have harassed, arrested and arresting and tortured local people.

He said: “The police station that was working for the military regime was bombed with a remote control system. I want to say that those who continue to work for the military regime like policemen and pro-junta informants who pass information on to the police will be punished.”

The PDF member said that the casualties on the junta’s side were still unknown, but he said that the People's Defense Forces had successfully withdrawn from the area after the attack. Minutes after the blast, military junta troops and police conducted checks in and around Hta Yaw Ywa Thit Village, according to local residents.
