A Myanmar resistance group carried out the claymore mine attack on the Immigration Office located in Aunglan Township, Magway region at 3 am on 13 September.

“We conducted the attack on the office in Aunglan township, where the Military Council troops were stationed. The soldiers stationed at the office are conducting raids on villages and carrying out military offensives in the Magway region. The office was targeted using claymore mines as a warning,” said information officer of Magway People’s Defense Force (Aunglan).

Additionally, he mentioned that as a result of the claymore mines attack, one guard from the Military Council lost his life and the office building sustained damage.

The information officer of the Magway People's Defense Force (Aunglan) said, "I witnessed one soldier being struck and falling down. The extent of the damage is still being assessed."

Following the attack, the Military Council troops stationed at the Immigration Office retaliated by firing at the members of the resistance force who were riding motorcycles. However, the resistance fighters managed to escape unscathed, as reported by the Magway People's Defense Force (Aunglan).
