Myanmar reported 53 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday night, bringing the number of infections to 1,111, according to a release from the Health and Sports Ministry, Xinhua reported.
The new laboratory confirmed cases include four returnees from abroad while the rest are reported as local transmissions.
Of them, 30 infected patients are from Rakhine state and the rest are from Yangon, Mandalay regions, Mon and Shan states, respectively.
