An official from Beiersdorf Myanmar told Mawkun magazine that internationally famous NIVEA cosmetics and Hansaplast manufacturer is leaving Myanmar.
"Due to the current Myanmar domestic market conditions, it is impossible to continue operating." The entire Beiersdorf company's operations will also be transferred to DKSH by the end of December," he said, in a post on Facebook.
It is initially known that the company employees have been given two years' compensation and leave, but company officials need to confirm.
Beiersdorf Company is a German based company and mainly manufactures and sells Hansaplast and NIVEA cosmetics in Myanmar.
Although the company has left Myanmar, it will be able to buy and use the company's products as usual.
DKSH Myanmar Company, which has been transferred now, has been operating in Myanmar since 1963 and mainly distributes various consumer products of partner companies.
After the 2021 military coup, some well-known international companies have left Myanmar.
