Myawaddy Bank in Kyaukse Township bombed

The Myawaddy Bank on the Yangon-Mandalay Road in Kyaukse Township, Mandalay Region came under a grenade attack at 4 pm on 16 February, according to Kyaukse District people’s defence force.

“There were two armed guards. The bomb exploded about two feet away from one of them. There may have been casualties. The blast occurred on Main Road,” said a Kyaukse District Defence Force (KDDF) representative. The local defense force was able to withdraw without suffering any casualties after the attack.

The KDDF said that they will attack anyone who harms citizens as well as any individual or organization that supports the military regime and its troops.

A local guerrilla group also bombed the Kyaukse Township Electricity Office on 9 February.
