Myanmar resistance forces launched coordinated attacks on 3 November at 4 am, targeting at least six army camps and police stations simultaneously in Kalay and Tamu Townships in Sagaing region.

Resistance sources said these included Yarzagyo Police Station, Myauksee Police Station, Yangyiaung Military Camp, Letpanchaung Military Camp, Myaukchartaw Military Camp, and Taingen Camp in Kalay Township as well as Witoke and Khampat police stations in Tamu Township. It has been reported that at least four of these Military Council sites were successfully seized and brought under control by the resistance forces.

“We captured Witoke and Khampat police stations in Tamu Township, Yarzagyo Police Station, Myauksee Police Station in Kalay Township and we are conducting the clearance operation in the areas,” a soldier from Kalay PDF told Mizzima.

In response to the resistance forces’ attacks, the Military Council has been conducting airstrikes and firing artillery in the battle zones, the PDF source said.

A resident of Kalay said: "Today (3 November), the artillery fire was extremely loud, and we keep hearing them. There is a strict inspection in Kalay Town, particularly focusing on men."

During the attack, it is reported that the defense forces sustained injuries, and houses were set ablaze as a result of the military junta's air assault. However, there has been no official statement from the resistance forces at this time.
