Myanmar reported 26 more locally transmitted COVID-19 cases on Sunday night, bringing the number of infections to 775 in total, according to a release from the Ministry of Health and Sports, according to Xinhua.

Of the new patients, 17 had close contact with recently confirmed patients and three had travelling history to Sittwe township of Rakhine state in the past 14 days, while six did not have either recent travel history or close contact with the confirmed patients, the release said.

Rakhine state has been seeing increasing number of local cases since Aug. 16 and all townships of the state are now under the stay-at-home order to curb the spread of the disease.
