Poet “Khet Thi” from Pale, Sagaing in Myanmar died this morning in detention, according to local reports. 

He was arrested and detained last night in Shwe Bo, Sagaing.

A segment of popular poem penned by Khet Thi during the Spring Revolution is translated into English as follows:

“They shoot at the head,
The Revolution is in the heart,
They don’t know about it.”

His wife who has been participating in the Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM) was also arrested and remains in detention.
