The Myanmar Navy celebrated its 73rd anniversary this week with a display of cruisers and their first submarine.

On the occasion of the anniversary of the Navy, seven warships, including the first warship owned by Min Ye Thein Kha Thu, joined the ceremony on the morning of December 24 in Yangon in the Naval Post 3 in Thilawa.

India this year gave a Soviet-era Kilo-class submarine to Myanmar, a move that many analysts see as an attempt by New Delhi to counter China's clout in the region, according to analysts.
