Myanmar’s military leaders have threatened civilian politicians with consequences if they did not give up their affiliations with the National Unity Government (NUG), EFE reported.

The junta has designated the NUG, the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) and Peoples Defence Force (PDF) as terrorist organisations.

In the latest order, the military has asked politicians to state in writing that they owe no allegiance to the NUG, formed in April by the politicians and activists opposed to the military coup.
