Members of People's Defense Forces fighting in Demoso Township, Karenni (Kayah) State said junta soldiers had planted landmines in some houses.

They said Military council troops had stormed a house in Thaysuele village in Demoso Township and planted a landmine.

The Karenni National Defence Force (KNDF) said in a statement on September 25 that the Karenni Army, the KNDF and the People's Defence Force had joined to fight back against 300 troops of the military council that launched an offensive yesterday and a member of the Loikaw PDF was killed in battle.
