Residents said LIB 560 raided houses in Lay Kay Kaw Myothit controlled by the Karen National Union (KNU) Brigade 6 September 28.
An official from Lay Kay Kaw Myothit told Mizzima that it was part of an investigation of a bomb blast that occurred there on September 14.
About 100 troops conducted house-to-house inspections.
Lay Kay Kaw Myothit (new town) was built with the support of the Nippon Foundation as a symbol of peace between the Myanmar government and the KNU under President Thein Sein.
