Military captain’s wife shot dead in Sagaing’s Monywa district

Daw Ei Phyo Su, a military captain's wife and also a general administration officer was shot seven times at around 9 am on December 28 in Monywa township, Sagaing Division, according to the Chindwin Attack Force Battalion 2, a resistance group.

The mission was conducted by the Monywa District Battalion 2’s Special Operations team and Special Commando team near the corner of Swimming Pool Road and 19th Street in Chan Myawaddy Ward, Monywa township.

The deceased was a non-Civil Disobedience Movement employee of the Monywa Township General Administration Office and her husband is Captain Myo Myint Aung of the Kyauksitpon Artillery force in Monywa.

According to the statement of the Chindwin Attack Force in Myoywa district, Daw Ei Phyo Suu was known not only as a spy but also as an informer to a handful of pro-military people according to information from army and civilian sources.

The shooting was conducted because the investigation revealed that she was guilty, according to the statement.
