Myanmar authorities seized a large haul of narcotic drugs in Sagaing region, according to a release from the Central Committee for Drug Abuse Control (CCDAC) Xinhua reported.

Acting on a tip-off, the anti-narcotic police force made a seizure in Indaw township on Saturday.

A total of 2.2 kilograms of heroin worth 220 million kyats (162,962 U.S. dollars), 8.2 kilograms of raw opium worth over 24 million kyats (18,222 U.S. dollars) and 11,400 stimulants worth 57 million kyats (42,222 U.S. dollars) were confiscated from a car.
