Kayah State legislative assembly passed impeachment procedures against Chief Minister L Phaung Sho and the CM was dismissed from his post. The resolution was made by a division of votes on the first day of 18th regular session of 2nd assembly.

Kayah State assembly has 20 legislators eligible for voting and the motion got 16 Yes votes and 4 Nay votes.

The chairman of the assembly wil send the results to the President.
