The first-day session of the Joint Implementing Coordination Meeting (JICM) preliminary meeting was held at the National Reconciliation and Peace Centre (NRPC) in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday, state media reported.

The meeting discussed the proposals to be put forward to the 9th JICM meeting, the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement (NCA) Implementation Framework, relevant future plans and processes for post-2020 period, and relevant basic principles.

During the meeting, the NRPC Vice-Chairman said that the 14-points for the NCA Implementation Framework were agreed in the previous seven coordination meetings between the Government and the NCA-S EAOs.

This two-day preliminary meeting also focuses on the Part III of the Union Accord, which is expected to be signed in the Union Peace Conference- 21st Century Panglong.
