Irrigation Office in Sagaing’s Monywa Township bombed

There was a bomb blast at the Irrigation Office in Thanlar Ward in Sagaing Region’s Monywa Township, at around 6:30 pm on 30 March, according to the Unity Force Monywa group.

An officer from Unity Force Monywa said that about 200 Myanmar junta troops had been stationed in the Irrigation office’s compound since 23 March. On 30 March they threw the bombs into the compound.

"This time, when they fired at us [After the blast], we fired back with a pistol and then we ran away. We lost motorcycles, we had to flee for our lives. We may have caused damage”, said Bo Auk Swel, a Unity Force Monywa officer.

The attack could have injured junta troops. It was jointly carried out by Unity Force Monywa and the Brother Defense Force.
