New political parties and independent candidates have concerns over their election campaigns as the 2020 general elections polling date is very close because of constantly changing COVID-19 regulations and restrictions which hinder and hamper their outreach to the voters.

Aung Htay, an independent candidate for Mandalay Region Chanayethazan constituency (1), said that they were facing difficulties due to COVID-19 regulations and restrictions which have been issued frequently.
