The local defense force said the military council’s troops fired artillery shells into a nearby village, Pale township, Sagaing region on December 17, destroying homes and property.

They opened fire after a military council convoy and infantry were attacked by the local defense force near Myit Kya bridge beyond the top of Nagama Mountain in Pale township.

Bo Nagar, Pale People's Defense Force (PPDF) leader, said that a house, three motorcycles, paddy and sesame in Kangyi Taw Chaung, the west of Thayet Hla village were burned.

The military convoy and infantry were mined by Pearl People's Defense Forces five times between Ko Laung Kwe and Nagama Mountain on the Pale-Gangaw Road on December 17.
