Yangon Region COVID-19 Contain, Control and Treating Coordination Committee Vice-Chairman Dr. Zaw Wai Soe said that under the current situation they were seemingly in a good position in controlling and containing COVID-19 pandemic.

“If we review the current situation, as I said before, we can now contain the COVID-19 virus. We are in a good position in seeing our capacity and a encouraging outcome in positive cases but it is not yet time for celebration and complacency. We cannot celebrate yet. We shall maintain this position by our concerted efforts,” Dr. Zaw Wai Soe said.

Currently, healthcare staff are using all their resources and strength to the fullest extent in providing care and treatment to victims of this deadly virus so this situation needed to be maintained, he added.
