Five points were agreed between the CDF-Mindat and the military council

The CDF announced today (June 23) that the five points of agreement reached between the People's Defense Force (CDF) and Military council troops in Mindat.

The agreements from the military council include not doing armed surveillance, shooting and arresting along the communication lines in Mindat Township and the town.

The CDF has agreed not to harass, pressure and threaten non-CDM government employees. Similarly, the military council has agreed not to force CDM staff to return to work.

In addition, the CDF said in a statement that both sides had agreed not to disturb people travelling along the Kyaukhtu-Mindat-Matupi route and to allow vehicles carrying food for refugees to travel.
