The spokesperson for the Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA) confirmed that the complete Light Infantry Battalion No. (125), stationed in the Kokang Self-Administered Zone in Northern Shan State, surrendered on 28 November.

This follows the surrender of Light Infantry Battalion No. (129) and all its family members on 12 November, making Light Infantry Battalion No. (125) the second battalion to capitulate.

The Light Infantry Battalion No. (125) operates under the jurisdiction of the Northeast Military Command, serving as one of the seven battalions overseen by the Regional Command Headquarters (Laukkai).

The entire Light Infantry Battalion No. (125) surrendered; however, the precise count of Military Council members and their family members remains unknown as of going to press.

Local sources report that on 28 November, the MNDAA and its allies launched an attack on the Military Council Army in Konkyan Town, Kokang Self-Administered Zone in Northern Shan State. Subsequently, the entire battalion of the Military Council Army surrendered.

Konkyan Town has been designated as a location under martial law by the Military Council, granting them the authority to administer and govern the area as deemed necessary.
