The Tanintharyi Guerrilla Force seized illicit drugs from a boat on the Lelthit River in Tanintharyi Township in Tanintharyi Region on 28 September.

Among the drugs reportedly seized were more than 2,000 packets of opium powder and more than 600 yaba amphetamine tablets, according to Tanintharyi Guerrilla Force.

After seizing the drugs, the guerrilla group burned them.

Mizzima contacted the Tanintharyi Guerrilla Force and asked what actions they were going to take against the people transporting the drugs, but they have yet to reply.
