COVID-19 preventive measures extended until Dec. 31

Myanmar's national-level Central Committee on Prevention, Control and Treatment for COVID-19 Sunday announced the extension of the period of preventive measures against the disease until Dec. 31, Xinhua reported.

According to the announcement, the extension will be applied to all orders, announcements, directives issued by the respective union level government organizations and ministries which will expire on Dec. 15, as part of preventive measures to contain the spread of the disease.

According to a release from the Health and Sports Ministry on Sunday, Myanmar reported 1,127 new COVID-19 cases with 23 more deaths in the past 24 hours.
