Convoy attack in Sagaing’s Indaw Township kills six Junta soldiers

Six junta troops were killed in a landmine attack on a convoy of eight military vehicles between Nabar and Pinwei villages in Sagaing Region’s Indaw Township on 10 May, according to the Tiger Army.

The military convoy was coming from Htee Chaing Township when it was attacked with nine landmines at about 5.30 a.m. on 10 May. Six junta soldiers were killed and several others were injured, according to a Tiger Army official.

''The convoy of eight vehicles was coming from Htee Chaing was attacked with landmines. A series of land mines were planted. Six people were killed and many were injured”, said the official.

The attack was jointly carried out by the Tiger Army and the Kachin Independence Army (KIA), he added.

The injured soldiers first received medical treatment in Sit Nant Se Aung Village before going on to Myitkyina later on in the day on 10 May.

The Tiger Army has warned members of the public to not follow military convoys or overtake them.
