Beijing says on Monday that the talks with US climate envoy John Kerry will "implement the spirit of the Bali meeting" and the two sides will exchange views on climate issues and work together "to meet challenges".

Beijing also says there is "no problem in the South China Sea at present" when asked about New Zealand urging China to play a role in Indo-Pacific security.
