Freed pro-democracy protesters wave as they are transported out of a prison in Myanmar's Yangon.

Family members crowded outside the prison on Tuesday, hoping their relatives would be among thousands the junta has promised to release as it faces growing international pressure.

"My hope is that she (sister) gets released. She has two kids at home. I want her home as soon as possible," says one woman.
