Bullet Hla Swe, who has been charged with defamation, surrendered himself to the Western District Police Commander Office in Dagon Township in Yangon Region on the morning of December 28.

Hla Swe protested US sanctions against military leaders in front of Yangon City Hall on August 3 in which he made obscene comments about the State Counsellor’s Office, President’s Office and Government Office for not protecting the Tatmadaw and made a comment accusing the government of lying.
