A resident said that a bomb exploded at Swe Daw Ka Nya Na office of the Road Transport Administration Department-RTAD in Pyigyidagun township, Mandalay on the afternoon of December 28 injuring a soldier.

The resident said either a bomb was thrown or it was planted.

"A soldier was hit by the bomb but it is not serious. He was taken by ambulance,” he said.

Witnesses said a civilian standing near the office was also injured in the incident, but neither was seriously injured.

As of December 28, no organization had declared responsibility for the attack.

The Swe Daw Ka Nya Na office, Directorate of Road Transport – South, was bombed on November 11.
