A bomb blast occurs inside No.12 ward administrative office on Zaylay road in Mawlamyinegyun Township, Ayayawady Region, around 9 pm on 4 July.

The junta is conducting military training for their affiliated local militia.

The bomb blast was under the chair of the ward administrator of the military council, leaving a trainee guerrilla injured in the office.

“There are around 50 new cases of COVID-19. Few residents went outside in fear of the pandemic. All the persons at the office were informants. They want the local administrative officer role. No stranger could plant the bomb under the chair,” said a local.

After the explosion, junta soldiers and police forces then arrived at the office for investigation. They found one more bomb in the office.

They patrolled the streets until midnight.
