UDP party organizer of Tin Kyaw Khaing said that over 10,000 party members of United Democratic Party (UDP), popularly known as Rose party, from Bokpyin would give their support to Union Solidarity and Development Party (USDP) in upcoming general elections. This UDP party has recently been deregistered and dissolved by the Union Election Commission (UEC).

“We cannot contest this election as our party has been deregistered and dissolved. So according to the wish of our rose party members, we will give our support to USDP and will rally around this party but we will not join it,” Kyaw Tin Khaing said.

Since the rose party liked the policies and works on religion, social and altruism works done by USDP the rose party would rally around this party, he added. But their party members had a plan to do charity and altruism works and also they had another plan to form a new party, he added.
