US Secretary of State Antony Blinken says there is clear evidence of an attempt to "destroy" the Rohingya, as he officially declares that violence against the Muslim minority by Myanmar's military amounts to genocide. "The military's intent went beyond ethnic cleansing to the actual destruction of Rohingya," Blinken says at the US Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington DC.
