Detained State Counselor Aung San Suu Kyi has called for the whole country to be vigilant on the re-emergence of the Covid 19 pandemic, according to her lawyer.

"Daw Suu asked about the situation of Covid in Naypyidaw and the whole country and asked for people to be careful," said Khin Maung Zaw, an attorney.

The message was sent by Aung San Suu Kyi and President U Win Myint.

Khin Maung Zaw said he had the opportunity to meet with the State Counselor and 69-year-old President Win Myint for an hour before the trial from 9:30 am to 10:30 am yesterday.

During the hearing on June 28, a prosecution witness was examined for the case under Section 25 of the Disaster Management Law against President Win Myint. Then two prosecution witnesses were examined for the case under Section 25 of the Disaster Management Law against Aung San Suu Kyi.

In addition, The Military council questioned a police officer for Section 67 of the Telecommunications Law, a case against 76-year-old Aung San Suu Kyi, who has been charged with seven cases. Two prosecution witnesses for Section 8 of the Import and Export Law were examined again.

The next hearing for both cases has been rescheduled for July 5.
