A remote-controlled mine blew up a Military Council patrol vehicle at around 3 p.m. on 14 March on the Yangon to Pathein Road in Yangon’s Sa Nay Ma-9 Ward in Hlaing Tharyar Township.

"They did more patrolling today because today is the one-year anniversary of the bloodshed in Hlaing Tharyar Township. We also want to show that we haven’t let our blood grow cold [and become complacent], even after a year”, said an officer from the guerilla group, the From Zero to Hero Force.

“14 March marks the one-year anniversary of the bloodshed caused by the military coup in Hlaing Tharyar Township. Therefore, we conducted this operation to show that we don’t let our blood grow cold,” he added.

This operation was jointly conducted by combined forces from the From Zero To Hero group and the MCO LDF Army.

"The blast slightly damaged the military vehicle. Police and Military Council troops in civilian clothes came to check on motorcycles. That area was busy with military council members after the blast”, a local said.
