Myanmar's authorities seized some 772 tons of illegal timbers across the Asian country in the past two weeks, said a release from the Forest Department under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation, Xinhua reported.

The seizures were made in the country's regions, states and the Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory from Nov. 9 to 22.

The seized illegal timbers included 132.8 tons of teak, 77.7 tons of hardwood and 562.2 tons of other types of timbers, the release said.
