20 dead, 300,000 stranded in flood-hit Bangladesh region

Monsoon floods and landslides have cut off more than 300,000 people in villages across the southeast and killed at least 20 people including six Rohingya refugees, according to officials. "Last night the water level rose up to the neck. Today it has decreased. But when high tide starts, water will rise again," worries one resident in Ramu.
