17 junta soldiers were killed in two clashes between junta troops and the Chinland Defense Force (CDF) in Mindat Township, Chin State on 29 March, according to a statement by CDF-Mindat.
CDF troops opened fire on the junta’s forces at a newly renovated pond near Bo Hmu Hashine Ravine on Wanma Thu Maung Road, Ba Wa Thit ward at 7:10 a.m. on 29 March.
Two junta soldiers were killed in the shooting and their bodies were taken away by ambulance at 2:22 p.m on 29 March, according to the CDF-Mindat Information Department.
Later, fighting between CDF-Mindat and the military council intensified on the Mindat-Matupi Road and phone lines were also cut off.
Earlier on 29 March, at 12.30am, 15 junta soldiers were killed and many others were injured when CDF-Mindat attacked them with mines and small arms, according to the CDF-Mindat Information Department.
