Ministry of Labour, Immigration and Population in Ayeyarwaddy Region has appointed new staff to substitute for Assistant Immigration Officers who joined the CDM (Civil Disobedience Movement), according to CDM staff.

The directive to appoint replacements was posted in front of relevant offices.

A CDM staff member said that the vacant post of Assistant Immigration Officers has been replaced with a basic salary of 180,000 kyat. There were nearly 200 CDM staff in Ayeyarwady region, and about 50 of them returned with bond to work under the Military Council.
