Myanmar's parliament approved a motion of Myanmar's participation in signing BIMSTEC convention in capital Nay Pyi Taw, Xinhua reported.
The proposal sent by President U Win Myint to the parliament was discussed at Wednesday's parliamentary session.
Established in 1997, BIMSTEC, the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation, groups Bangladesh, India, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Nepal and Bhutan.
