A truckload of military equipment being transported for Brigadier General Myat Min Moe from Loikaw in Shan State to Tanai in Kachin State was seized by Hteechaint People's Defense Force (PDF) on 9 August .

According to an announcement on 28 August by the shadow National Unity Government (NUG), Hteechaint PDF seized the 12-wheel truck when it was checking trucks in Hteechaint Township, in Sagaing Region on 9 August.

Brigadier General Myat Min Moe, who was until recently the Regional Commander at the Regional Control Command in Loikaw, was relocating from Loikaw to Tanai, after being made the Regional Control Commander in Tanai.

The truck was moving equipment between the two towns for the Brigadier General, but he was not in the truck when it was seized, according to Hteechaint PDF.

Among the items seized were 70 sets of military uniforms, 465 rounds of ammunition, five grenades, two jammers, military boots, communication devices, and various other pieces of military equipment. The truck was also seized by the PDF.
