The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • The NUG announced that they had blacklisted and dismissed (318) staff members from the Ministry of Construction because they were oppressing people taking part in CDM activities.
  • There was an online meeting between the Committee on International Relations under the CRPH and the NUG Ministry of Electricity and Energy.
  • The Acting President said that no matter how hard the military junta led by Min Aung Hlaing tries to fight in battlefields, it is vital for the NUG to make an effort to gain influence in other areas.

Revolution Activities

  • In Beelin Township in Mon State, the junta army shot dead two children: Mg Kyel Zin Min aged 6 and Mg Nyi Nyi Zaw aged 9, near Shweyaungpya Village on Tuesday.
  • On Wednesday, Man Zar Myay Mon, a protest leader in Chaung-U Township, was sentenced to two years in prison under Section (505-A).
  • In Dibeyin Township in Sagaing Region, local people and students marched against the military dictatorship on Wednesday, chanting anti-junta slogans.
  • On the 416th day of protest, Kalay people marched against the military dictatorship on Wednesday.
  • On the 385th day of protest, a combined rally of Salingyi and Yinmabin residents marched for the downfall of the military dictatorship on Wednesday, holding anti-junta signs.
  • In Ayadaw Township, there was a march against the military dictatorship on Wednesday.
  • On Wednesday, a combined rally of the Latbadaung Taung General Strike Committee and the Dibeyin General Strike Committee conducted a guerrilla protest at the Nyaungbingyi crossroads where the junta armed forces have been stationed on the western bank of the Chindwin River.
  • On Wednesday, Tamu PDF announced that the use of the Tamu-Aungzaya road section had been restricted and transportation of illegal goods would not be allowed.
  • In Mandalay, there were bomb explosions at the Zwe Htet gold shops at the 84 and 30 Street intersection and on 62 Street at about 1:00 pm Wednesday. Reportedly, nearly 15 people were injured.
  • Kyaikto Revolution Force announced that if soldiers no longer serve the junta army and join the public, they would be financially rewarded depending on the weapons they bring with them.
  • In Hakha Township in Chin State, there will be an investigation into the two junta pilots and the helicopter accident they were involved in on Tuesday.
  • On 27 March, Mg Mg Win, a junta-appointed administrator, was killed on his way to Kachin State from Bago Region.
  • In Kyaukme Township in Shan North, there was an attack with improvised explosive devices (IEDs) at the township municipal office in Ward (7) at 4:00 pm Tuesday.
  • In Thingangyun Township in Yangon Region, youth and students conducted a guerrilla protest against the junta’s education in front of Thuwunna High School at 8:35 am Wednesday. Reportedly, they were chased by junta soldiers who tried to arrest them.
  • In Zalun Township in Ayeyarwaddy Region, a local PDF conducted exploded bombs at the Myanmar Agriculture Bank and the MyTel telecom tower.

Ethnic Armed Organizations

  • KNDF leaders attended the funeral of U Peng Jiasheng, former Chair of the Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army MNDAA.
  • In Muse, the KIA attacked the junta army. Reportedly, there were casualties among junta soldiers.
  • General Tun Myat Naing, Commander the Chief of the Arakan Army (AA) said that they had faced hardships in the initial period of their revolution and that U Peng Jiasheng and Kokang leaders had supported them with weapons.
  • In Karen State, there was fighting between the junta army and the KNLA combined force near Paledo Village on the Myawaddy-Wawlay Road on Tuesday. Reportedly, six junta soldiers died.

The Military Council

  • The junta-aligned Myanmar Press Council announced their condemnation of a bomb attack on a train carrying pro-military people and some artists although they kept silent about journalists being arrested.
  • The junta Music Association and Clown Association released statements against the bomb attack on the train carrying some local artists on their entertainment trip.
  • At this time of insufficient electricity, the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing said that if power could be used in public transportation, it would bring benefits to the country.
  • The junta leader said that there had been discussions with the respective ministries about giving out prestigious titles to those from various sectors on the diamond jubilee of Independence Day.
  • Reportedly, the junta military officer of the Golden Triangle Area attended the funeral of the MNDAA leader Peng Jiasheng who passed away on 16 February 2022.
  • According to confidential faxes, the military junta instructed the police force to be unified and to not give up their arms or leave the camp during battles to control police stations.
  • The military junta stated that students would get free access to education at three medical universities in the upcoming academic year if they serve the country.
  • The junta Union Peace Discussion Joint Committee will select representatives from political parties for the all-inclusive political group on 27 April.
  • The military junta arranged to resume the online E-Visa application, which has been suspended since 1 April.

Summary on 31 March

  • At this time of insufficient power, the junta leader said that it would be beneficial for the country if electricity could be used in public transportation. It highlights how stupid he is.
  • In recent months, the junta army invaded MNDAA areas and suffered great losses. Until now, there have been clashes in the area from time to time. However, while the junta were attacking the MNDAA they had the bare-faced cheek to send representatives to the funeral of the MNDAA leader, Peng Jiasheng. They might be trying to get the MNDAA onto their side as they are facing such opposition from PDFs and other groups.
  • In many parts of Karen State, there were battles against the junta army which suffered great losses. In Karenni and Chin states, and Sagaing and Magwe regions, there was also fighting against junta armed forces. Reportedly, the military junta also suffered great losses there.
