The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • The NUG Union Prime Minister said he had been discussing with the CDM staff how to fulfill the needs of the revolution.
  • According to the NUG Union Prime Minister, his office is responsible for 10 Ministries. He added that Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation would play an essential role soon in some areas under their influence and in the other areas under the administration of their respective state governments.
  • According to the NUG, the military junta has killed 234 children under the age of 18 since their coup on 1 February 2021.
  • At 10:00 am on Monday, there was an online meeting between the Committee Representing the Sagaing Regional Hluttaw and the NUG Ministry of Federal Affairs.
  • On Monday night, the NUG conducted a press conference about civilian deaths including children in Let Yat Gone Village in Dibeyin Township in Sagaing Region due to violent attacks by the junta army both on the ground and in the air using military helicopters.
  • The NUG announced that it had been taking action against those involved and responsible for inhumane activities.
  • The NUG Acting President stated that it was necessary for NLD members to better cooperate with other political parties so that they can quickly carry out activities to achieve federal democracy.
  • Save Myanmar (USA) organized the 7th online collection on Sunday in association with the NLD.

Revolutionary Activities

  • According to an MP from Mizoram State, over 40,000 Myanmar people have been taking refuge in Mizoram State on the border of India and Myanmar.
  • The National League for Democracy (NLD) called on United Nations (UN) international organisations to take effective action against the military junta in accordance with legal procedures, and to protect human rights and democracy in Myanmar.
  • In Thanlyin Township in Yangon Region, there was an explosion on the campus of the Technological University on Monday night. Reportedly, two junta soldiers died.
  • Somewhere in downtown Yangon, an alliance of students’ unions conducted a guerrilla protest against the military dictatorship on Tuesday morning.
  • According to the Myaung Township People’s Defence and Security Force, junta soldiers kicked a novice who said that he knew nothing about PDFs. Reportedly, they also stole over 100 lakh MMK from a local.
  • In Monywa Township in Sagaing Region, there was an attack on the junta army stationed on the campus of the Technological University. According to the Black Dragon Special Task Force one of the junta soldiers died.
  • Starting at 7:00 am on Tuesday, the junta armed forces were mobilized on the Monywa to Ayadaw road section. Consequently, the God Of Monywa defence force called on the public not to use the road except for urgent matters.
  • According to Black God- a guerrilla force based in Yinmabin District, there was an accident at one of their weapon production camps. There were no casualties but weapons and equipment were burned.
  • In Yinmabin Township, an alliance of PDFs attacked junta soldiers and Pyu Saw Htee members stationed in Bantbwe Village. Reportedly, two junta members died.
  • In the west of Indaw Township, the junta army invading the area took away six local people as human shields.
  • On Tuesday, a combined rally of villages from Salingyi North and Yinmabin East continued their protests against the military dictatorship. Reportedly, they also laid wreaths in memory of the martyrs.
  • In Myinmu Township, a troop of over 60 junta soldiers was attacked with mines. Reportedly, seven of them died and nearly 20 others were injured.
  • Reportedly, a total of 567 Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) released a joint statement calling on ethnic armed organisations, (EAOs) who have been against the military dictatorship throughout history, not to join the fake peace discussions of the military junta.
  • In Pauk Township in Magwe Region, the junta army set fire to Kyetsu Eaint Village. According to We Love Myaing, four houses were burnt down.
  • In Nyaunglebin Township in Bago Region, a guerrilla force of Kyaukgyi fired a 40mm grenade at the junta army in Ngetpyawdaw Inspection Camp. Reportedly, five junta soldiers were injured.
  • On Sunday, a local was arrested at Myeik Airport on the way to join a meeting of NGOs which will be held in Mandalay.
  • In Tanintharyi Region, a convoy of four military trucks was attacked with mines no less than four times on their way from Myeik to Dawei on Monday. According to local PDFs, 14 junta soldiers died.

Ethnic Armed Organisations

  • After top leaders of Arakan Liberation Party (ALP) frequently met with the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing, they published some photos of their basic military training on Tuesday afternoon. Reportedly, their trainees wore the same uniform as junta soldiers.
  • The Karen National Union (KNU) Central stated that it was their partner the Kyaikto Revolution Force (KRF) who arrested a Denko fuel tanker vehicle and confiscated the fuel oil.
  • In Thatone District, KNU Brigade (1), issued guidelines for revolutionary forces and members not to harm or threaten the public as well as to not to take advantage of them.
  • On Tuesday, the Karenni Revolution Union announced that 15 junta soldiers had died in a battle in Konetha Village in Demoso Township.

The Military Council

  • The military junta announced that after a meeting between junta leader Min Aung Hlaing and the Vice-Chair of the United Wa State Party, they had reached an agreement for Wa State.
  • At a conference in New Delhi, Dr. Thidar Oo, the junta Union Attorney General, said that investors in Myanmar would be able to export their products all over the world easily and quickly.
  • According to the Indian Embassy in Myanmar, a modern inspection camp will be constructed in Tamu in Sagaing Region with the help of the Indian government for efficient mobility and trade flow across the border between India and Myanmar.
  • In Pyin Oo Lwin, the military junta has been arranging to hold a hot air balloon festival from 4 to 8 November.
  • On Monday, there was a meeting between Min Aung Hlaing and 3 EAOs; the UWSP, NDAA and SSPP, in Naypyitaw.
  • The military junta instructed that there should be information released about the mobility and activities of important people in Sagaing Region as well as about casualties of junta soldiers.
  • In Minbya Township in Rakhine State, the junta navy and air force conducted deliberate attacks on Kaunglaungchaung Village. Consequently, local people had to run away.

Summary on 28 September

  • At the time of international sanctions due to the coup, the junta Union Attorney General talked nonsense that those who might invest in Myanmar saying that they would be able to distribute their products to other countries smoothly and swiftly.
  • It was just a superficial meeting among the military junta, UWSP, NDAA and SSPP that will not have any outcomes which could change the current situation.
  • After the ALP met several times with Min Aung Hlaing their fighters started to wear the same uniform as junta soldiers. In other words, they might transform into so-called people’s army serving the military junta.
