Summary on 2 May

  • The military junta established 46 new districts throughout the country for their election with Proportional representation in 2023. Turning a blind eye to the real situation, they seemed
  • to do it by force. Just as the former dictator Senior General Than Shwe adopted the Nargis Constitution amidst objections, Min Aung Hlaing might implement the election by force.
  • As for the NUG, they are getting the better at international relationships. As the military junta failed to implement the ASEAN 5-point consensus, member countries felt upset about
  • Min Aung Hlaing and promoted their relations with the NUG.
  • As the junta armed forces intensified the war in Sagaing Region, there were fewer battles in other areas. It is necessary to take advantage of such chances. In Karenni State, local forces
  • managed to control the junta camps.
