A member of the junta aligned Pyu Saw Htee militia was arrested by a people’s defence force (PDF) in possession of guns  in Tanintharyi Region’s Tanntharyi Township at around 3:30 p.m. on 4 October.

Ko Naing, age 35, from Nyaungpinkwin was arrested in Tanintharyi Township’s Nyaungpinkwin Village by Tanintharyi PDF alliance Forces column (2).

A PDF soldier said: He was arrested because he was a member of Pyu Saw Htee and threatened villagers with weapons he possesses. 

We are waiting for instructions on how to handle him.”

According to Tanintharyi PDF alliance Forces column (2), one M16 gun, one grenade, a set of military equipment, 157 bullets and five magazines were confiscated from Ko Naing.
