Peace Process Steering Team hoping to hold meeting of all members

The Peace Process Steering Team (PPST) said that by the end of the year it is hoping to hold a meeting of all ethnic armed organisations (EAOs) to resolve political turmoil and build towards a democratic federal union.

PPST spokesperson Colonel Saw Kyaw Nyunt said: "We intend to hold an all-inclusive plenary meeting with the ethnic armed organisations to exchange views and find political solutions to the country's current situation.”

If the meeting is successful those involved will discuss opinions and suggestions on how to build a democratic federal union and take concrete steps toward achieving this goal.

Colonel Saw Kyaw Nyunt said: “We are attempting to hold a plenary meeting as a first step, aimed at all ethnic armed organisations that have been involved in the revolution for national equality and self-determination.”
