NUG announces temporary formation of All Myanmar Judicial Employees Association

The Ministry of Justice of the National Unity Government (NUG) announced on 10 November that the All-Myanmar Judicial Employees Association has been temporarily formed.

The Association will have judicial responsibilities in accordance with the policies and plans set by the NUG and the National Unity Advisory Council (NUCC).

A total of 12 members: patron, chairperson, Vice Chairperson, members, audit, treasurers and secretaries will be appointed in the association, and Ministry of Justice's Union Minister U Thein Oo will lead the association as patron.

"We want the public to know that the main pillar of the judiciary is strong. We will provide advice on the details of the judiciary. We will assist the judiciary under the CDM judiciary. In the transitional period, official telephone numbers will be released in the coming days to provide legal education,” Min Naung Khaing, interim secretary of the All-Myanmar Judicial Employees Association, told Mizzima.

"The judiciary has not been able to materialize yet. At that time, other judicial services except the judiciary can be provided. For example, legal cases like marriage will be done under NUG,” said Min Naung Khaing.

As a chair, Judge Kaung Myat Thu leads the All-Myanmar Judicial Employees Union (JSU) found by judicial employees who join the CDM (Civil Disobedience Movement).
