Myanmar's junta unveil a 5,300-tonne marble statue of Buddha in the military capital Naypydaw. Around 20,000 tonnes of marble from the Mandalay region were used to create the complex showcasing the world’s biggest marble Buddha, that will open to public on August 1, 2023.
