According to village officials, the military council’s forces warned some village officials in Buthidaung Township not to provide food to the Arakan Army (AA).

The battalion commander of Battalion No. (535) in Buthidaung Township called village officials from Ngaran Chaung village tract and told them not to provide AA with food aid given by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) for villagers

Similarly, Muslim village administrators in Kyauktaw Township were warned by the military council’s forces not to cooperate with the AA in judicial and administrative matters on September 6.
