Eight houses have been burnt as a hot air balloon crashed in Pyigyidagun township, Myanmar's Mandalay region, according to Xinhua quoting state media.

The hot air balloon fell onto a residential house in Hsa ward on Wednesday and the fire spread to the eight houses nearby.

Forty-five fire engines and over 300 firemen battled to put out the blaze, the report said.

No one was injured in the incident.
